A Rip Roarin' Good Time

I grew up a-dreamin' of bein' a cowboy
And Lovin' the cowboy ways

-Willie Nelson

A couple of weeks ago my grandma turned 80.

I know what you're thinking. There is NO WAY this woman is 80. Rumor is she sold her soul to the devil.

I would kill to look like this when I am 80. She has practically perfect skin and such a cute little figure. I found my first gray hairs a few weeks ago and ever since I keep imagining I will look a little less Grandma Donna and a little more old hag when I am her age.

For grandma's 80th we threw a cowgirl party--since she is a legit cowgirl.

Cameron MANning the grill
It was so hot that weekend that we did everything we could to stay cool....

Chava! I found him

Will you be a lucky bride

He's handsome, he's tall

That is, from side to side

But he's a nice man, a good catch

                                - Right?  - Right

(I will have the utmost respect for anyone who knows this reference)

Amazing live music/sing along-I want them for my birthday party! It was so fun! I enjoyed singing along to goodies such as "How Much is That Doggie in the Window?" and "Clementine."

WANTED:

Mi madre and her grandsons

Big shoutout to Tiana, my mom, and Aunt Lisa who were fellow party-planners with me. It was definitely a group effort to make such an amazing party (if I do say so myself, and I do).
We are so grateful for this wonderful saintly woman who we call mom, grandma, and friend.

First Fathers Day

Happy Father's Day,
CAMERON

This little guy is oh so lucky to have such an amazing dad

For Father's Day this year my mom and I made blueberry waffles with strawberries and whip cream for breakfast and copycat Cafe Rio pulled pork salads for dinner. I wish I could have done more to show Cameron how much I love and appreciate him. When Nathan was born Cameron became our families sole provider on top of being in school full time. He comes home every day willing to help me with baby Nathan and is always so positive and happy. I don't know how he does what he does and is NEVER grumpy. I am so grateful that I was blessed to be his wife and to have children with him.

I fear the day that Nathan realizes that he can get food elsewhere and that Cameron is WAAAAY cooler than me and an awful lot more fun. I think I will try and just enjoy things until he figures it out.
